Another day of musings. I have recently been able to connect a VPN to my house at work because there is no access to certain IP addresses from here, and so I simulate seeing my work from external servers. So using Anydesk, I connect to my house, and I open the text editor of one of the websites doing “cowboy editing”, and in another the browser. Since my home computer has two monitors, I occasionally mine in the alliance fleet and at times I rest or wait for instructions, typical of systems when there is no problem to solve.

Today I was talking with the industrial squadron about what they told me about bouncing off asteroids, and precisely several of them put some equipped orcas up for sale. From what I understand, the alliance has about 30 or 40 orcas, but they use them to support newbies in highsec and basically we are building frigates and the occasional destroyer / cruiser. Talking with the one Booster who coordinates the Metropolis fleet, the one with two pilots told me they were left bonus and at the time they mined with orca,. but that the amount of time necessary to train orcas to mine and be a loot piƱata, made it better to sell an orca, extract the pilot and train for two months to have the industrial core II, but flat out if you didn’t have a fleet you wouldn’t had benefit.

While we were talking he was taking a porpoise to sell to domain, because he was only going to keep one anyway. What leaves me wondering is that with the exception of Orca, porpoise DST, all of Eve’s mid-priced ships in high sec are combat ships, so…

And this person just told me that before selling the orca that he has for sale, he has about 3 to 4b liquids and that there is nothing he wants to buy with it.

And I get it. Among my things is a dominix that I don’t plan to use again because of the Proton drone interface, a DST, a Hurricane Fleet Issue, a cyclone that I should sell, another hurricane, a well-configured gnosis, prophecy, caracal and the rattlesnake.

Today I got a marauder skin in my daily gifts. But I don’t see myself raiding or using marauders, which also require omega. So I understand the feeling.

I still think that the ideal would be for Taska mastar to be a perfect alpha and in another account the confessor / porpoise and trader. And I think again about trying Elite dangerous on the play station or buying it on Steam.

Because even with 5b, there’s not much to buy.
